Board of Directors

Mark May is the founder, president and chief executive officer of Prison Education Foundation. In addition to his role at the foundation, Mark works in the legal services industry. He also serves as a staff pastor at a non-denominational Christian church. Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies (BSBS) from Moody in 2009. Mark has been married to Cindy since 1981.

Timothy Driskill is the foundation’s secretary, treasurer and a board member. Tim works in law enforcement as a corrections officer. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Theology from Atlanta Bible College in 1994. Tim has been married to Julie since 1995.

Joshua Engel is a member of the foundation’s board of directors. Josh is a practicing attorney. He earned his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Harvard University Law School in 1995. Josh has been married to Laura since 2000.

The foundation’s board of directors is currently being expanded to seven directors which will consist of Mark and a total of six outside independent directors with successful backgrounds in law, business, finance and education. Additional board member resumes and backgrounds will be added to this website once the expanded board is in place.
